Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported on Monday that 11 people, including two children, have died from famine and malnutrition in Gaza hospitals over the past 24 hours.
These sources indicated that the total death toll from famine and malnutrition has now reached 300, including 117 children.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has warned that malnutrition among children under five doubled between March and June due to the ongoing blockade.
The World Health Organization confirmed that malnutrition rates in Gaza have reached critical levels, attributing many deaths to the deliberate blockade and delays in aid, and stated that nearly one in five children under five in Gaza City suffers from severe malnutrition.
