The Umm Al Quwain Traffic Department has announced a 50% discount on traffic fines, effective from December 1, 2024, to January 5, 2025. This offer applies to all traffic violations committed in Umm Al Quwain before December 1, 2024.
In addition to the fine reductions, the initiative also includes the cancellation of vehicle impoundments and traffic black points. However, it does not cover serious offenses. The 50% discount on traffic fines is being offered in celebration of the 53rd UAE National Day.
The Umm Al Quwain Police is encouraging vehicle owners to take advantage of the offer to clear their fines and comply with traffic laws. The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to enhance road safety and improve customer satisfaction. The grace period also applies to vehicle owners who have registered their cars in other emirates, but only for violations committed in Umm Al Quwain.

Back in the date, Ajman Police had also announced a 50% discount on traffic fines, valid from November 4 to December 15, 2024; for violations committed before October 31, 2024. However, that was excluding serious offenses like reckless driving, illegal overtaking by trucks, excessive speeding, unauthorized vehicle modifications, and running red lights. With 50% discount on traffic fines, the UAE is allowing a chance to reassure and commit to better behavioral patterns in terms of driving.
