Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has rolled out UTC-UX Fusion, a next-generation traffic signal control system that uses artificial intelligence (AI) and digital twin technology to revolutionize traffic management across the city. The innovative system is designed to reduce congestion, enhance road efficiency, and contribute to smarter, data-driven urban mobility.
Unlike traditional traffic systems, UTC-UX Fusion dynamically adjusts signal timings based on real-time traffic data and predictive modelling. By simulating traffic patterns before implementation through digital twin technology, the system allows RTA to optimize signal performance at busy intersections and during peak hours.
