Mall of the Emirates is stepping into its 20th anniversary this September, not just as a retail landmark, but as a beacon of possibility. Majid Al Futtaim, the pioneer behind the mall, is unveiling a sweeping AED 5 billion transformation to evolve the space into what it calls the “Mall of New Possibilities.”
Since opening its doors in 2005, Mall of the Emirates has broken new ground, not least with world-firsts like Ski Dubai, luxe flagship stores, and a dynamic mix of dining and entertainment. Now, the mall is expanding its horizons: 100 new stores, 20,000 sqm of additional retail space, plus new offerings in wellness, culture, and immersive entertainment. Highlights include New Covent Garden, anchored by a 600-seat theatre, a wellness precinct, and an indoor-outdoor district designed to bring fresh air and nature into the heart of the retail experience.
To mark the landmark anniversary, Mall of the Emirates has lined up a month of celebration:
- Bandaloop Aerial Performance (September 20): The internationally renowned vertical dance troupe will perform breathtaking aerial shows at 5pm and 6pm, turning the mall’s architecture into their stage.
- Exclusive SHARE Rewards Offer (September 20): Shoppers can earn 20x SHARE points for 24 hours only.
- Global Runway Under the FASHION DOME (September 13): Be among the first to experience the debut of the Fall/Winter 2025 collection, a celebration of bold artistry and timeless elegance at THAT Concept Store from 4pm to 6pm. Discover an intimate in-store runway showcase, live DJ, juice bar and a curated grazing table followed by a spectacular public presentation beneath the iconic FASHION DOME.
