BMW Group Middle East has introduced five exclusive BMW Individual editions, specially curated for the BMW 7 Series and BMW X7 models, designed and tailored specifically for the Middle Eastern market. These limited-edition vehicles highlight BMW’s commitment to ultra-premium customisation, combining distinctive design, regional inspiration, and craftsmanship.

Each of the five models represents a unique configuration, combining colour, material, and equipment choices that reflect the refined tastes and cultural identity of the region. This collection celebrates the ethos of BMW Individual, the brand’s customisation arm, which allows customers to create vehicles that are as personal as a signature.

A Legacy of Customisation Excellence

Originally launched in 1985 under BMW Motorsport GmbH (now BMW M GmbH), BMW Individual has evolved into a benchmark in the automotive world for bespoke craftsmanship. Initially catering to a small group of customers seeking one-off, hand-built cars, the program has expanded into a full-fledged customisation line offering exclusive finishes, luxurious interiors, and personalised detailing within standard BMW production.

Over the decades, BMW Individual has become a creative platform for world-class designers and artists. Iconic projects include fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld’s 1992 BMW 7 Series, the BMW 7 Series “THE NEXT 100 YEARS”, and the M850i Night Sky – a car inlaid with actual meteorite fragments. Each bespoke creation has continued to elevate the legacy of BMW as an innovator in automotive luxury.

Middle East-Focused Editions: Five Creations of Distinction

In close collaboration with BMW Group Middle East, BMW Individual developed five ready-to-order vehicle profiles, each showcasing unique regional styling. Signature elements include exclusive Merino leathers, BMW Crystal Headlights with Iconic Glow, Crafted Clarity interior elements, and extended leather trims, reflecting a meticulous attention to detail.

A standout feature of the editions is their paintwork — several of which are inspired directly by the region. Options include:

  • Maldives Blue: Inspired by turquoise coastal waters, available on the 7 Series in a refined two-tone finish with Oxide Grey Metallic
  • Mora Metallic: A rich, deep hue evoking Arabian nights, also paired with Oxide Grey
  • Macadamia Metallic: Earthy and understated, ideal for understated elegance
  • Frozen Deep Green Metallic: A satin finish adding mystery and sophistication
  • Ruby Red Pearl Effect Metallic with Black Sapphire Metallic: A dramatic, two-tone pairing designed to make a bold statement

Karim-Christian Haririan, Managing Director of BMW Group Middle East, commented: “BMW Individual is not just about creating cars; it’s about crafting personal experiences that resonate with the heart and soul of our customers. Each Individual profile we present is a unique expression of exclusivity, allowing our clients to transform their vision into reality. The emotions tied to owning a BMW Individual vehicle are profound, it’s about pride, exclusivity, and the joy of driving a masterpiece that reflects one’s personal style. We are excited to continue this legacy of bespoke craftsmanship, where every detail is meticulously designed to evoke a sense of luxury and connection.”

Power Without Compromise

Customers opting for any of the five BMW Individual profiles can choose from the full range of available powertrains — from the all-electric BMW i7 M70 to the combustion-powered BMW X7 M60 — ensuring that no performance preference is off-limits to those seeking bespoke luxury.

These editions also come equipped with region-specific features including ventilated seats, advanced rear-seat entertainment, extended climate control, ambient air fragrance systems, and illuminated panoramic glass roofs, offering an immersive luxury experience with every drive.

The limited-edition models are available exclusively through authorised BMW importers across the Middle East.

BMW Individual Manufaktur: Bespoke at Its Peak

For those seeking an even higher level of customisation, BMW Individual Manufaktur offers one-off vehicle creations crafted to the customer’s exact vision. From unique multi-colour leather combinations and embroidered headrests to personalised door sills and exclusive trim materials, the options are virtually limitless.

Each bespoke part is tested to the same safety and quality standards as standard BMW components. Customers can choose from over 100 custom colours and two-tone roof combinations, with roof options limited to Black Sapphire and Oxide Grey. For those wanting complete uniqueness, BMW offers the chance to create an entirely new exterior paint or interior finish developed from scratch.

Expanding the Art of Paintwork

To support growing demand for customisation, BMW is investing more than €30 million in a new Centre for Special and Individual Paintwork at Plant Dingolfing in Germany. Set to open in 2027, the 2,000-square-metre facility will boost production capacity for custom paint finishes — including complex two-tone combinations — while reducing lead times and increasing sustainability with energy-efficient, electricity-powered drying systems.

The new paint centre is expected to support up to 300 different paint shades, blending automation with traditional hand-painting techniques to deliver world-class finishes.
