Equiti, the Dubai-headquartered global fintech brand, has signed on as the Founding Partner and Official Digital Wealth Partner of Dubai Basketball ahead of the club’s historic debut in the EuroLeague later this month. The three-season partnership marks a milestone in uniting two homegrown success stories carrying Dubai’s name onto the global stage.

Under the agreement, Equiti’s branding will feature prominently on Dubai Basketball’s jerseys and courtside at the Coca-Cola Arena, while the fintech will engage with fans across the team’s digital platforms. To celebrate the launch, a retro-futuristic half-court pop-up was unveiled at The Ritz-Carlton, Jumeirah Beach, featuring star players Davis Bertans and Nate Mason, who showcased their skills in front of fans and VIPs. The activation also included a fast-paced “30-Second Basket Challenge,” with exclusive prizes for top scorers.

Equiti Group CEO & Co-founder Iskandar Najjar described the collaboration as a partnership built on shared ambition: “This goes beyond the court – it reflects our commitment to showcasing Dubai’s talent on a global stage, creating opportunities, and setting a blueprint for the next era of success.”

Founded in 2017, Equiti has evolved into a leading global fintech company with offices spanning Europe, Africa, the Asia-Pacific region, and the Middle East. The company offers multi-asset trading platforms, payment software, investment technology, and physical commodity ownership solutions, reflecting Dubai’s innovative rise in the global financial sector.

For Dubai Basketball, the tie-up comes at a pivotal moment. After breaking into the ABA League in 2024 and reaching the semi-finals, the team created history earlier this year by becoming the first club from the region to secure a five-year EuroLeague wild-card, starting with their debut against Partizan on September 30 at Coca-Cola Arena.

Dubai Basketball Co-CEO Nick Oakley emphasized the impact of the alliance: “Partnering with a successful Dubai-born brand like Equiti allows us to bring the world to Dubai. Together, we aim to create moments that capture the energy of the city and place our fans at the heart of everything we do.”

The collaboration underscores the alignment between Dubai’s pioneering fintech and its first homegrown basketball franchise – two organizations built on innovation, discipline, and performance. Both are expanding Dubai’s global footprint, whether in financial markets or in elite international sport.
