Meet Amanda Dsilva, an Indian-origin Dubai resident whose unstoppable spirit has lit up New York’s Times Square. Born with Down syndrome, Amanda’s story is one of courage, love, and limitless possibility. Recently featured in a global awareness campaign, she stood proudly on one of the world’s biggest stages — a celebration of inclusion, diversity, and hope. “When I saw myself on Times Square, I felt happy and proud. I love Times Square, New York!” Amanda says with her signature smile. For her mother, Anita, it was a moment of pure joy: “You don’t get to see yourself on Times Square every day — it was truly Amanda’s moment to shine.” Today, Amanda thrives as a freelance model and full-time employee at Sofitel Downtown Dubai. She loves Zumba, playing UNO, and spreading happiness through her TikTok videos — proving that life with Down syndrome is full of color, purpose, and possibility. Her story reminds us that every child deserves love, acceptance, and the freedom to dream big. Because when society chooses kindness over bias, incredible things happen.
