Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Illés Boglárka, State Secretary for Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, at the ministry’s headquarters in Budapest. The meeting took place as part of the FNC delegation’s official visit to Hungary.
Dr. Al Nuaimi underscored the strength of the longstanding bilateral ties between the UAE and Hungary, stressing the significance of the official visit, led by FNC Speaker Saqr Ghobash, in reinforcing parliamentary relations and further enhancing the existing partnerships between the two friendly nations.
He noted that the visit included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Federal National Council and the Hungarian National Assembly, as well as the issuance of a joint statement in which both sides highlighted the importance of deepening bilateral relations, reaffirmed their commitment to boosting cooperation and constructive dialogue, and stressed the role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing peace, stability, and sustainable development, alongside increased coordination on issues of shared interest.
Dr. Al Nuaimi also shed light on the UAE’s efforts to promote the values of tolerance and coexistence, referencing the role of the Abraham Accords in supporting regional peace, in addition to the UAE’s leading humanitarian efforts and its key contributions to strengthening regional and global security and stability.
For her part, Illés Boglárka reaffirmed the strong ties of cooperation and friendship between Hungary and the UAE, expressing her country’s commitment to further developing and expanding these relations across various sectors.
She praised the FNC delegation’s official visit, noting that the exchange of visits between officials of both nations and the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements represent an essential foundation for advancing collaboration toward broader prospects.
