Sharjah Police have launched a new category of number plates for classic vehicles and motorcycles, including a first category, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance Sharjah’s visual identity and keep pace with updates to vehicle plate designs that reflect the emirate’s cultural and civilisational heritage.
According to Sharjah Police, the newly introduced plates follow the approved design standards for Sharjah vehicle plates. They include first-category and private plates for classic cars, as well as first-category plates for motorcycles. The updated design combines modern specifications while maintaining the heritage value and distinctive character of classic vehicles and motorcycles.
The authority noted that the initiative is intended to offer specialised and unique services to owners of classic cars and motorcycles. The new plate numbers will be made available for purchase in collaboration with Emirates Auction, helping to enhance the customer experience through a wider range of high-quality options that support ongoing efforts to advance traffic services.
Sharjah Police reaffirmed their commitment to the continuous development and enhancement of services in line with best practices, contributing to higher customer satisfaction and strengthening the emirate’s sophisticated urban and cultural image.
