The Ministry of Culture has successfully wrapped up its Winter Programme 2025, held under the theme “Language of the Quran and Emirati Customs”, in partnership with Sandooq Al Watan along with several cultural and community entities.

Conducted at the Ministry’s Cultural Centres in Al Dhafra, Ajman, and Ras Al Khaimah, the programme sought to strengthen national identity and promote awareness of the Arabic language and Emirati values among young people.

The initiative offered a comprehensive cultural and educational experience through 56 varied activities, attracting 820 participants aged six and above across the three centres.

Carefully designed to combine education with engagement, the programme included interactive and educational workshops aimed at nurturing creative skills, alongside sessions focused on the Arabic language and Emirati traditions. These activities were delivered in an inspiring environment that blended learning with entertainment.

Mubarak Al Nakhi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, stated, “The programme’s high-participation rate is a reflection of our ongoing efforts to strengthen national identity and heritage connection among young people, with the support of Sandooq Al Watan and our esteemed partners. The unique event created a rich educational environment that facilitates creative expression and talent development, opening up new horizons for innovation.”

He further stated, “Such trailblazing ventures highlight our long-standing vision to develop the nation’s cultural ecosystem, enhancing the role of cultural centres in providing youth with knowledge and heritage values, while promoting creativity and sustainable learning.”

The Winter Programme is one of the Ministry’s key annual initiatives held during school holidays, designed to engage children and youth in meaningful activities that develop their intellectual and artistic abilities while reinforcing national identity through innovative and interactive learning approaches.

The programme also featured specialised workshops covering the Arabic language and the Holy Quran, visual arts, animation, Emirati cuisine, traditional shipbuilding, Emirati customs, and short story writing.

In addition, educational field trips to museums and heritage sites were organised, allowing participants to explore Emirati cultural heritage first-hand. These experiences helped foster creative thinking, teamwork, social responsibility, and a sense of belonging, while refining individual talents and encouraging creative self-expression.

The Winter Programme forms part of a broader set of cultural initiatives implemented by the Ministry throughout the year to strengthen national identity and cultural awareness, promote the Arabic language and Emirati values across artistic and knowledge fields, and support the development of a cohesive society aligned with the UAE’s sustainable development goals.
