Sales of e-commerce in Saudi Arabia are expected to reach the peak of monthly sales of Mada cards ever in October 2025 and will exceed more than SR 30.7 billion.

According to the statistical bulletin issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) for October 2025, this is equivalent to a growth of 68 percent year-on-year and a rise of about SR12.4 billion compared to the same period in 2024, when sales were approximately SR18.3 billion.

E-commerce sales also recorded about SR 88.3 billion in the third quarter this year and registered quarterly growth of 15.2 percent, which is an increase of about SR11.6 billion as compared to SR76.6 billion in the second quarter of the same year.

Sales on a monthly basis increased to 6 percent in October 2025, which is a growth of about SR1.6 billion as compared to September of the same year, when the sales stood at about SR29.1 billion.

Comparative performance between January and October 2025, the Mada data indicated a 47.3 percent increase in the e-commerce sales, an increment of about SR 9.9 billion, relative to SR 20.9 billion in January of the same year.

It is also notable that these numbers comprise payments and purchases conducted with the help of Mada cards via online shopping sites, applications, and digital wallets, but not the ones carried out with the help of credit cards.
