A magnitude 6.1 earthquake occurred off the coast of Indonesia’s Sumatra island on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey reported, with no immediate reports of casualties or damage and no tsunami warning issued.
The quake struck off the island’s western coast and was reportedly felt as far away as North Sumatra, officials said.
