Abu Dhabi authorities have issued a warning to the public against swimming at restricted beaches stretching from Al Bahia Beach to Al Shalila, citing serious safety concerns.
In a joint statement, the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police and the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) highlighted some risks such as strong currents, hidden underwater hazards, and the absence of rescue personnel, as key reasons for the prohibition.
Warning signs have been posted along the affected areas to inform beachgoers.
