The 22nd Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) closed on Saturday with record-breaking success, cementing its status as the largest edition in the event’s two-decade history.
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the nine-day exhibition attracted 379,572 visitors, a 9.2% increase over 2024. Organised by ADNEC Group in cooperation with the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the exhibition showcased heritage, sustainability, and innovation across 15 sectors, from falconry and equestrian sports to fishing, camping, and crafts.
This year’s edition drew 2,068 exhibitors and brands from 68 countries, making it the most globally diverse in the event’s history. For the first time, four new sectors were introduced: Souq, Knives, Arabian Saluki, and Camel, expanding ADIHEX’s cultural and commercial reach.
Key Highlights
- Eight falcon auctions before and during the event drew over 21,795 participants, generating AED 2.199 million in sales.
- Camel auctions brought in AED 1.7 million.
- More than 60% of exhibition space for the 2026 edition has already been booked, reflecting strong confidence from exhibitors.
- Live competitions such as the Falcon Beauty Contest, Arabian Saluki Beauty Contest, International Dog Show, and Emirati Handler’s Competition drew thousands of spectators.
Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, said the event reaffirmed Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for heritage preservation and cultural exchange. “The exhibition embodies the UAE’s deep commitment to passing traditions to future generations while fostering innovation and sustainable practices,” he said.
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group, highlighted the event’s growing international stature. “This year exceeded all expectations and set new benchmarks. With more than 60% of space for next year already booked, ADIHEX continues to expand as a global platform for cultural and commercial exchange,” he noted.
Building on the momentum, ADNEC announced the launch of the Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition in November 2025 at ADNEC Centre Al Ain, expanding the event’s footprint and reinforcing the UAE’s role as a leader in heritage-driven global gatherings.
The next edition of ADIHEX will return to Abu Dhabi in 2026, with ambitions to further expand programming, increase international participation, and enhance community engagement. Organisers say the focus will remain on balancing authentic Emirati traditions with forward-looking innovations in hunting, equestrian sports, and environmental sustainability.
