Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has awarded contracts worth AED65.7 billion to nearly 400 local suppliers, contractors, and service providers during the first half of 2025. This major investment underscores the company’s strategy to harness its purchasing power to stimulate socioeconomic development, support local businesses, and deliver long-term value to the UAE.
The awarded contracts span essential sectors, including drilling, logistics, operational support, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC). These awards are a clear reflection of ADNOC’s commitment to prioritizing local companies through its successful In-Country Value (ICV) programme, which aims to strengthen the private sector and build more resilient national supply chains, reports WAM.
Dr. Saleh Al Hashmi, ADNOC’s Director of Commercial & In-Country Value, commented:
“These contract awards highlight how ADNOC’s ICV programme is accelerating industrial and economic growth in the UAE. By supporting local suppliers, we’re driving productivity, competitiveness, and creating highly-skilled private sector jobs for Emiratis. We urge our partners to continue collaborating with us in advancing the nation’s industrial future.”
Key beneficiaries of the contracts include NMDC Energy, Target Engineering, Al Dhafra Co-operative Society, Arab Development Establishment, Excel Astra Engineering, Robt. Stone, GISCO, and Euro Mechanical & Electrical Contracting—all recognized for their capabilities and value-added contributions.
Looking ahead, ADNOC plans to inject an additional AED200 billion ($54.5 billion) into the UAE economy through the ICV programme over the next five years. By 2030, it also aims to source AED90 billion ($24.5 billion) worth of locally manufactured products.
To enhance access to its procurement opportunities, ADNOC recently launched the Make it with ADNOC mobile app. The platform provides transparency into its purchasing needs and offers a gateway for suppliers, SMEs, and entrepreneurs to explore long-term business opportunities.
Since its launch in 2018, ADNOC’s ICV programme has created over 17,000 private sector jobs for Emiratis and remains a cornerstone of the company’s local development strategy.
From established enterprises to up-and-coming startups, ADNOC encourages all local businesses to engage with its procurement initiatives and help shape the UAE’s industrial future.
