The UAE-India travel will become much cheaper this year when Air India Express implements a large-scale fare promotion across its Gulf and Indian network.

The carrier that is owned by the Tata Group has come up with its ‘Xpress More Sale,’ where they have been offering discounts of up to 20 percent on the base fares, both on domestic and international routes.

The campaign will focus on one of the busiest aviation routes among the residents of the UAE and the Indian expatriates, with millions of seats being offered at lower prices.

Therefore, the bookings under the sale will begin from February 1 to 5, with travel valid from February 11 through to December 31, 2026. The longer travel period provides the passengers and corporate travelers almost one year to have the low fares for business, leisure, and family travel.

Air India Express has also launched international routes on which it offers competitive fares for Lite to Gulf-based passengers. Single-way ticket costs begin at around Dhs320 out of the UAE, and correspondingly cut-throat prices in Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.

Lite is aimed at price-sensitive passengers and excludes check-in baggage, but allows passengers to add up to 20kg subsequently at reduced prices, beginning with Dhs100 on international flights.

The passengers who book their flights either online on the airline website or using the mobile application are also being offered additional benefits such as zero convenience fees and one complimentary date change, subject to fare differences and advance notice requirements.

The purpose of the free date-change facility is to provide increased flexibility in long-term travel planning, which is one of the most important factors for business travelers and expatriates.

The airline states that the promotion applies to both Lite and Value fare types and is available on its international and domestic network, depending on limited inventory and route availability.

The sale has been allotted more than five million seats, and it has been offered through Air India Express own digital platforms before it is offered on other booking platforms.

It is introduced in an environment where the airlines of the region are all competing over price-conscious travelers, especially on high-volume India-Gulf routes, which are still experiencing high demand due to trade connections, workforce mobility, and leisure travel.
