Ajman Chamber has introduced an initiative titled “Eco Smart Industry” aimed at supporting member factories in improving their environmental performance and transitioning towards more sustainable manufacturing practices.
The initiative urges private-sector facilities to adopt best environmental standards, optimise energy use, integrate clean energy solutions and utilise smart technologies to boost productivity. Its goals include minimising environmental impact, enhancing resource efficiency and contributing to sustainable economic growth.
In its first phase, the programme seeks to involve more than 100 factories through an interactive digital platform that enables the sharing of best practices and solutions related to sustainability, environmental balance, resource conservation, recycling and energy efficiency. It also aims to raise awareness of relevant laws and regulations, thereby improving the environmental and industrial performance of participating factories.
Additionally, the chamber will honour establishments that show outstanding commitment to sustainability practices, corporate social responsibility, environmental stewardship and workplace safety.
“Eco Smart Industry” forms part of Ajman Chamber’s projects and initiatives for 2026, supporting the goals of Ajman Vision 2030 and UAE Vision 2031, while enhancing the competitiveness of national industry by aligning economic growth with environmental protection and the efficient use of natural resources.
