On December 13, Indian South superstar Allu Arjun’s legal team rushed to revoke the FIR filed against him following his arrest in connection with a stampede at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4. The Telangana High Court indicated that it would grant the actor interim bail, allowing him to seek appropriate remedies.
The stampede took place at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre, where a large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor, leading to the tragic death of a woman and the hospitalization of her son. The police filed charges against the actor, his security team, and the theatre management, according to Indian media reports.
However, the victim’s husband later expressed his intention to withdraw the complaint, stating he did not hold the actor responsible. In a gesture of goodwill, Allu Arjun had previously offered ₹25 lakh financial assistance to the deceased’s family.
In his video on X, he said, “I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey.”

The case was filed against the theatre’s management, the actor, and his security team for failing to inform authorities about the actor’s visit to the premiere. Earlier, three individuals, including one of the owners of Sandhya Theatre, were arrested in connection with the incident, according to the police.
