The second edition of the Arab Podcast Programme, launched by the Dubai Press Club, kicked off its inaugural week with resounding success, drawing enthusiastic participation from aspiring Arab content creators and top podcasting professionals. The initiative, overseen by the podcasting platform Podeo, aims to nurture the next generation of Arabic-language podcasters capable of making a global impact.

The five-week programme offers intensive, hands-on training, enabling participants to develop original podcast projects under the guidance of industry experts. Hosted at the Dubai Press Club, the training covers essential areas, including podcast branding, content strategy, post-production, hosting, audio setup, and audience engagement.

“Right through the inaugural sessions, we have witnessed a profound eagerness and passion among participants to master podcasting techniques that could enable them to produce high-quality Arabic content capable of competing regionally and globally,” said Maryam Al Mulla, Acting Director of the Dubai Press Club.

She added that the initiative reflects Dubai’s long-term commitment to promoting Arabic digital content and providing young Arabs with the tools to express themselves in a rapidly evolving media landscape.

A Platform For Emerging Creators

Launched on July 7, the programme is being led by Charbel Issa, a certified trainer on Podeo. Participants are introduced to foundational podcasting skills through eight intensive modules ranging from scriptwriting and voice presentation to distribution and digital marketing.

The inaugural week attracted participants from across the Arab world, all eager to tap into the booming podcast sector, which is gaining momentum as a creative and monetisable medium in the digital content landscape.

“Such targeted initiatives play a key role in equipping young Arabs with the knowledge and tools needed to produce innovative, high-quality content,” said Stefano Fallaha, CEO and Founder of Podeo. “At Podeo, we strongly believe in the importance of hands-on training and direct experience.”

Fallaha noted that the Arab Podcast Programme is helping to solidify Arabic-language podcasting as a powerful tool for free expression, cultural storytelling, and market engagement.

Key Learnings And Next Steps

Participants are now gearing up to present their first podcast project pitches during the second week. Experts from The Direction Podcast, Podcast Pro, and Dubai Press Club will provide personalised mentorship and feedback to help refine these concepts into professionally produced episodes.

Sessions during the opening week also delved into the evolution of the global podcasting industry, best practices in content selection, scriptwriting, and vocal delivery techniques.

In the coming weeks, the programme will shift focus to advanced skill development, including building a unique audio brand identity, marketing strategies, and monetisation approaches. The initiative will culminate in a final showcase event, where participants will debut their entirely produced podcast episodes.

The Dubai Press Club continues to play a pioneering role in advancing Arab media through such capacity-building programmes. The Arab Podcast Programme is part of a broader effort to ensure Arab youth are media-literate, technically skilled, and creatively empowered in today’s digital-first environment.
