Real estate developer Arada has awarded a construction contract worth AED618 million to Intermass Engineering & Contracting for the development of Anantara Sharjah Resort and Anantara Sharjah Residences, a high-end beachfront project located at Al Heera Beach in Sharjah.

The 24-month contract marks a significant step in delivering what Arada calls one of the emirate’s most distinctive luxury hospitality destinations. The development, which will feature a luxury Anantara hotel and 128 branded residences, is being built in partnership with Minor Hotels, the operator of the Anantara brand.

Preliminary site work, including enabling and foundation stages, has already been completed, with construction activity now underway on the project site, located on the northeastern edge of Al Heera Beach. The 3.5-km-long beachfront is already a popular leisure destination and features jogging tracks, cycling paths, and diverse dining options.

Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said:

“This contract will bring one of Sharjah’s most distinctive luxury destinations to life on the coast of the Arabian Gulf. With its exceptional architecture and beachfront setting, the Anantara Sharjah complex will elevate the emirate’s appeal to international travellers and discerning homeowners.”

Designed with a unique architectural identity, the project will include a signature gateway inspired by the movement of the sun. The branded residences will range from one- to four-bedroom units, including duplex penthouses with private balconies and rooftop pools. Residences will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, premium white goods, generous living areas, and high-quality interior finishes.

Shared amenities within the complex include:

  • Five signature restaurants
  • Beachfront infinity pool
  • Anantara Spa
  • Kids’ club
  • Dedicated male and female gyms
  • Meeting rooms and an event hall

The project represents the Anantara brand’s debut in Sharjah and is expected to raise the bar for hospitality and branded residences in the Northern Emirates. It aligns with Sharjah’s broader push to attract international investment and tourism through high-end coastal developments.
