As part of the Government Experience Exchange Office initiatives under the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, a high-level government delegation from the Republic of Belarus visited the United Arab Emirates to learn about the UAE Government’s pioneering models and best practices in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and next-generation government services.
The visit, organised by the Government Experience Exchange Office, reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen global knowledge partnerships and foster government-to-government collaboration between the two nations. It focused on exploring innovative projects, future-ready programmes, and digital solutions implemented by the UAE Government to accelerate transformation, boost efficiency, and deliver proactive, citizen-focused services.
The Belarusian delegation included Yulia Shapkina, Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatisation; Sergey Rudnev, First Deputy Director General and Head of Information Security at the Analytical Centre under the Administration of the President; Andrei Filipovich, Head of Information Protection at the Analytical Centre; Siarhei Belikov, Deputy Director of the Digital Development Center; Natalia Kushina, Deputy Director of the Digital Transformation Agency; Maria Kalantai, Senior Adviser; and Natalia Kupitayenko, Head of the IT Department at the State Customs Committee.
The delegation engaged in several meetings with senior UAE government officials to discuss expanding partnerships and exchanging expertise in areas of mutual interest.
Additionally, they conducted field visits to prominent public and private institutions in the UAE, including the Government Accelerators and 42 Abu Dhabi Academy, where they explored innovative government models and success stories and met with Emirati experts specialising in various fields of governance.
Discussions focused on strengthening government cooperation and broadening areas of collaboration to include digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the advancement of national capabilities in future education and digital skills.
Both sides also discussed opportunities for joint initiatives in public service innovation, institutional performance, digital legislation, and streamlining government procedures.
