President Joe Biden condemned the New Year’s Eve attack in New Orleans, where an Army veteran drove a truck into a crowd, killing 15 people and injuring dozens.

The FBI is treating the incident as terrorism after finding social media posts where the suspect expressed support for ISIS and intent to kill. Explosives were discovered in the truck and elsewhere in the city.

The tragedy turned Bourbon Street into chaos, forcing the postponement of a college football playoff game. Biden called the act “despicable” and praised law enforcement for neutralizing the suspect.
