Deputy King HRH Prince Salman Visits Majlises, Highlights Kingdom’s Development Drive

Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday visited the majlises of the Kanoo, Al Jishi, and Al Khuzai families, Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh, and the late Yousuf Khalil Almoayyed.

HRH the Deputy King emphasized that the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad are the driving force of the overall development of the kingdom, moving the nation’s priorities and long-term strategic development.

HRH Prince Salman stated that, with the effort of all the members of Team Bahrain, the national economy of the kingdom has increased its size more than five times since 2000.

HRH the Deputy King said that the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, launched in 2008, has been a turning point in the history of increasing the economic growth and diversification, with the share of non-oil activities in GDP totaling over 84 percent.

HRH the Deputy King pointed out that following the guidelines of His Majesty, the goals of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 are squarely aimed at improving the welfare of the citizens of the kingdom.

He indicated that this strategy shows how the King was convinced that the achievement of the citizens’ dream is at the core of the development of Bahrain and that investing in the human capital of the kingdom is the basis of long-term development and sustainable prosperity.

HRH Prince Salman expressed his pride in and appreciation towards Bahraini citizens, and lauded their constant efforts, innovation, and commitment in different sectors.

HRH the Deputy King remarked that the national talents have always performed well and with a touch of excellence and distinction in all areas and have significantly contributed to the current development of the kingdom.

HRH Prince Salman also exchanged Ramadan greetings with the hosts and guests of the majlises and added that the sacred month of Ramadan is a good occasion to enhance the values of unity, solidarity, and social cohesion.

He reaffirmed the crucial importance of Ramadan majlises in maintaining the rich traditions in Bahrain by participating in them and in strengthening the national cohesion.

On their part, the heads of the majlises expressed their utmost appreciation of the fact that HRH Prince Salman is still determined to talk to the Bahraini people and expressed their hopes about the further development and prosperity of the kingdom.

Minister of Finance and National Economy Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and several senior officials also attended the event.
