During its participation in the World Future Energy Summit 2026, hosted by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is showcasing its flagship projects and leading initiatives in clean and renewable energy, sustainability, and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.

DEWA’s participation underscores its commitment to advancing sustainable innovation and smart solutions across the energy and water sectors, while reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global leader in clean and renewable energy.

Visitors can explore DEWA’s projects and initiatives at its stand in Hall 5 (Energy Hall) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 13 to 15 January 2026.

The stand features a model of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, the world’s largest single-site solar park operating under the independent power producer model. The park’s current production capacity has reached 3,860MW and is set to exceed 8,000MW by 2030, compared to the original target of 5,000MW—an increase of 60 percent. Clean energy now accounts for more than 21.5 percent of DEWA’s total capacity and is expected to rise to 36 percent by 2030, up from the originally planned 25 percent. This expansion will cut carbon emissions by more than 8.5 million tonnes annually. The solar park supports the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategy, the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, which aim to generate 100 percent of energy capacity from clean sources by 2050.

DEWA is also presenting a model of Al Shera’a, its upcoming headquarters in Al Jaddaf. Designed to become the tallest, largest, and smartest net-positive government building in the world, Al Shera’a is targeting Platinum certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) system and Gold certification under the WELL Building Standard. The headquarters will feature an advanced technology ecosystem incorporating the Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and state-of-the-art renewable energy solutions to deliver exceptional efficiency.

Located within the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, DEWA’s Sustainability and Innovation Centre acts as a global hub for innovation in clean and renewable energy. It adopts an integrated, multi-level approach to presenting sustainability concepts and serves as an incubator for advanced green energy technologies. The centre also functions as an awareness and education platform, offering interactive exhibits, comprehensive learning experiences, accredited professional training programmes, and strategic innovation initiatives. It supports professionals by enhancing skills, knowledge, and leadership capabilities, while also preparing Emiratis to play an active role in shaping the future of the renewable energy sector.

DEWA’s Research and Development Centre, also located at the solar park, focuses on solar energy, smart grid integration, energy efficiency, and water technologies. The centre has achieved a major innovation milestone by registering 64 patents, 18 of which have been granted. These patents span a wide range of sustainability-related areas, including concentrated solar power, electric vehicles, energy storage, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, 3D printing, energy and water efficiency, and data analytics.

DEWA launched the EV Green Charger initiative in 2014, becoming the region’s first public electric vehicle charging network. Today, DEWA operates more than 1,700 EV charging points across Dubai, including stations developed in partnership with public and private sector entities. The network comprises ultra-fast, fast, public, and wall-box chargers to meet varying customer needs.

At DEWA’s stand, Moro Hub—a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the authority’s digital arm—is presenting its integrated security platform, which features AI-powered visual analytics solutions. These advanced tools deliver highly efficient, world-class security services and enhance real-time threat detection.

Moro Hub is also showcasing its latest cloud computing and Green Data Centre services, which support sustainability efforts and help reduce carbon footprints. In addition, Moro is participating exclusively in the FUSE AI platform, highlighting its newest AI-driven services that enable organisations to achieve smart and sustainable digital transformation.
