Dubai AI Week Broadens Scope With Focus On Education And Health

Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) have announced the addition of two major events to the inaugural Dubai AI Week, taking place from April 21 to 25, 2025. Held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, the event aims to accelerate AI innovation and strengthen cross-sector collaboration.

The 8th International Conference on Education Quality and the HIMSS Executive Summit 2025 have been added to the agenda, further reinforcing DFF’s mission to connect public and private sectors in exploring real-world applications of artificial intelligence.

Dubai AI Week will bring together global AI experts, industry leaders, policymakers, and professionals at landmark venues such as the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers. It promises to be a hub for transformative discussions and cutting-edge showcases of AI technologies.

The International Conference on Education Quality, hosted by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai in collaboration with the Emirates Academy for Identity and Citizenship, will run from April 22 to 24 at the Grand Hyatt Dubai and the Directorate’s headquarters. With the theme “Artificial Intelligence Innovations: Future Visions in Empowering Public Institutions and Enhancing Education Quality,” the conference seeks to boost global research efforts and enhance educational institutions through AI-powered advancements.

Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, emphasized the UAE’s continued investment in AI:

“The UAE is committed to strengthening efforts and building strategic partnerships to solidify its global leadership in developing artificial intelligence innovations. This aligns with the vision of our wise leadership to employ AI in shaping a sustainable and prosperous future. As education is one of the national priorities, integrating AI into this sector will enhance the knowledge and capabilities of current and future generations.”

He further added:

“Through the Artificial Intelligence Innovations Conference, we at the General Directorate reaffirm our commitment to supporting education and knowledge systems and empowering public institutions through innovation. The conference brings together elite AI leaders, researchers, and decision-makers to showcase the latest experiences and scientific applications.”

Highlighting the event’s broader goals, he noted:

“The conference agenda reflects Dubai’s ambition to be a global knowledge hub, featuring panel discussions with leading international companies, the presentation of over 200 research papers, the signing of strategic agreements, and the launch of the AI Innovation Lab.”

In the healthcare sphere, the HIMSS Executive Summit 2025 will be held on April 23 at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Organised by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and supported by the Dubai Health Authority and Emirates Health Services, the summit will focus on pivotal shifts in health technology, including generative AI, precision medicine, genomics, and digital healthcare transformation.

In addition to these events, Dubai AI Week will feature the AI Retreat, the Dubai Assembly for AI, the Global Prompt Engineering Championship, Machines Can See Summit, Dubai AI Festival, Dubai AI Week Hackathon, and AI Week in Schools. Together, these highlight the transformative potential of artificial intelligence across sectors such as government, education, investment, healthcare, and technology.

Dubai AI Week 2025 reaffirms the city’s dedication to advancing AI in line with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, positioning it as a leading global force in the AI revolution.
