Dubai Health and Boston Children’s Hospital have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing paediatric healthcare through clinical excellence, education, research, and philanthropy.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Ryan Nagy, President and Chief Operating Officer of Boston Children’s Hospital, and Dr. Mohamed Al Awadhi, Executive Director of the Dubai Health Women and Children’s Campus, which encompasses Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, Latifa Hospital, and the Dubai Fertility Centre. The partnership sets a foundation for strengthening children’s health services across Dubai Health’s network.
The delegation from Boston Children’s Hospital—comprising senior clinical and academic leaders—was welcomed by Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, along with members of Dubai Health’s executive leadership.
Dr. Nagy noted that the partnership underscores a mutual commitment to advancing paediatric care, education, and research to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and their families in the region.
Dr. Al Awadhi stated that collaborating with a globally recognised paediatric institution will elevate the quality of care, broaden training opportunities, promote research and innovation, and enhance Dubai Health’s dedication to meaningful philanthropic initiatives. He added that the partnership aligns with the vision to further health for humanity and improve children’s health outcomes throughout the region.
The delegation also received an overview of Dubai Health’s integrated academic health system and explored potential avenues for future collaboration in clinical services, education, research, and philanthropy. Both parties affirmed their commitment to fostering a long-term partnership that contributes to advancing paediatric healthcare in Dubai and internationally.
