The UAE will celebrate the Indian community with a large-scale public event at Zabeel Park, Dubai, on 26th October, attended by Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State, and A. Amarnath, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India to the UAE, alongside a distinguished gathering of diplomats, business leaders, and prominent members of the Indian community.
Held for the second consecutive year, the celebration highlights the enduring friendship and cultural ties between the UAE and India.
Organised by the “Emirates Loves India” page, the event underscores the strength of bilateral relations and reflects the UAE’s appreciation for the Indian community as it joins in celebrating their rich cultural and civilisational heritage.
Expected to attract more than 70,000 attendees, the celebration will showcase the diversity of Indian culture, art, and folklore. The programme includes cultural and artistic performances, live music, and traditional activities that illustrate India’s history and artistic legacy, as well as the Indian community’s contributions to the UAE’s sustainable development.
A special segment will honour distinguished members of the Indian community in the UAE for their exceptional achievements. The event will offer an immersive experience with family and children’s performances, traditional dances and music shows, exhibitions of handicrafts and products from Indian towns and villages, food stalls serving authentic Indian cuisine, and interactive experiences celebrating the richness of Indian art and culture.
By hosting such large-scale cultural events, the UAE continues to strengthen international relations and promote values of tolerance and coexistence among diverse communities. These initiatives highlight the UAE’s success in fostering peace, harmony, and mutual respect, establishing a global model for diversity and cultural pluralism.
The Indian community remains an integral part of the UAE’s social fabric, contributing to its economic, social, and cultural development. Their significant presence reinforces bilateral ties and opens new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.
The relationship between the UAE and the Republic of India is rooted in deep historical ties and longstanding friendship. This partnership was formalised through the Cultural Agreement of January 1975 and strengthened with the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement in January 2017, alongside thirteen additional agreements and memoranda of understanding across multiple sectors.
The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) continues to bolster trade and investment, aiming to raise non-oil bilateral trade to US$100 billion by 2030. Since its implementation in May 2022, CEPA has significantly enhanced UAE-India trade, with non-oil trade reaching US$37.6 billion in the first half of 2025, a 33.9 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
