Registration is now open for Dubai Ride 2025, the flagship cycling event of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, offering participants the rare opportunity to cycle along Sheikh Zayed Road and past the city’s most iconic landmarks.
Presented by DP World and organized by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, the event will take place on 2 November, marking the opening weekend of the emirate’s month-long fitness initiative. Now in its sixth edition, Dubai Ride has grown into the region’s largest community cycling event, with participation increasing 85% since its launch.
Cyclists of all abilities can register for one of three routes: a family-friendly 4km loop through Downtown Dubai, a scenic 12km ride along Sheikh Zayed Road, or the exclusive Speed Laps option for advanced riders. Speed Laps, returning due to popular demand, allow experienced cyclists to ride at a minimum pace of 30km/h on the 12km route. Registration for this category opens on 6 October.
The event supports the UAE’s “Year of Community” in 2025, encouraging inclusivity with dedicated facilities for riders of determination, including hand cycles and tandem bikes. Last year, the event attracted 37,130 participants.
His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, highlighted the event’s role in promoting active lifestyles and community cohesion. Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, emphasized the unifying power of the event, while DP World’s Abdulla Bin Damithan reaffirmed the company’s commitment to fostering health and well-being.
Participants can collect their event bibs from the Dubai Municipality 30×30 Fitness Village in Zabeel Park from October 29 to November 1.
