Dubai Studios, under the umbrella of Dubai Media, hosted the semi-final judging round of the 2025 International Emmy® Awards, marking a significant milestone in the UAE’s growing engagement with the global media industry. The exclusive, closed-door event, held in Dubai, brought together a panel of distinguished regional jurors to evaluate submissions in one of the Academy’s prominent award categories.
The session was held in partnership with the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and forms part of a five-year strategic alliance between Dubai Studios and the International Emmy® Awards. The collaboration is designed to foster cultural exchange, elevate regional storytelling, and enhance the UAE’s global reputation as a hub for world-class media production.
By serving as host for a crucial phase of the Emmy judging process, Dubai reinforces its positioning as a gateway for global content innovation and a facilitator of meaningful industry dialogue.
“This prestigious event celebrates the very best in global television and also fosters a spirit of collaboration and cultural exchange among industry leaders. By bringing together distinguished jurors and outstanding content from around the world, we reaffirm our commitment to excellence and innovation in the content & media landscape,” said Mr. Salem Al Youha Al Mheiri, CEO of Media Content at Dubai Media and CEO of Dubai Studios.
Dubai Studios’ partnership with the International Emmy® Awards includes multiple activations designed to support homegrown talent, encourage creative exchange, and integrate Dubai’s production capabilities into international media networks. The semi-final judging round is one of several key events under this collaboration, aligning with the city’s broader vision of becoming a global capital for original content and cultural influence.
As Dubai continues to evolve into a creative hub, initiatives like this underscore the emirate’s ambitions to lead not only in digital infrastructure and technology but also in content, storytelling, and global media engagement.
