Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has entered into a strategic partnership with Kabi by Al Ghurair, in collaboration with ride-hailing platforms Bolt and Zed. This alliance aims to reshape Dubai’s urban mobility landscape and significantly improve the e-hailing experience for residents and visitors alike.

Uniting Two Major Taxi Operators Under One Digital Umbrella

The agreement, signed by Mr. Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, and Mr. Badr Al Ghurair, CEO of Kabi, Al Ghurair Mobility, brings together two of Dubai’s largest taxi operators under one strategic vision. The deal marks a major step forward in making transportation more accessible, efficient, and digitally integrated.

A total of 9,880 vehicles—6,200 from DTC and 3,680 from Kabi—will now be integrated into Bolt and Zed, the UAE’s homegrown e-hailing apps. This move will enhance vehicle availability, reduce waiting times, and improve overall service delivery. As both companies continue to scale up their fleets, newly added taxis will automatically join the platforms, ensuring growing demand is met with matching capacity.

Aligned with Dubai’s Smart Mobility Vision

The partnership supports the Dubai Government’s goal to shift 80% of taxi trips to e-hailing platforms, in line with the Roads and Transport Authority’s broader vision of building a smart and sustainable transport ecosystem.

Mr. Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, emphasized the impact of this collaboration: “At DTC, we are committed to driving innovation and building partnerships that enhance customer experience while strengthening Dubai’s mobility ecosystem. Through this collaboration, and with the addition of Kabi taxis to our existing fleet on the Bolt platform, we are expanding access to taxis and embedding them more deeply into the digital ride-hailing experience. This directly supports the Dubai Government’s goal of shifting 80% of taxi trips to e-hailing. The partnership also comes at a time when Dubai’s taxi sector recorded a 7% growth in the first half of 2025 compared with the same period in 2024, as reported by the RTA—reflecting the strong demand and the resilience of the sector.”

A Bold Step for Homegrown Innovation

The integration of Kabi and Zed into this ecosystem demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to nurturing local innovation in mobility. Kabi, part of Al Ghurair Mobility, and Zed, a UAE-born ride-hailing app, are playing key roles in shaping the future of transportation services in the region.

Mr. Badr Al Ghurair, CEO of Kabi, Al Ghurair Mobility, stated: “This partnership represents a pivotal step in uniting industry expertise to serve the evolving needs of Dubai’s residents and visitors. By combining our resources and leveraging advanced technologies, we are not only expanding the availability of taxis but also setting new benchmarks in efficiency, service quality, and sustainability. Through Kabi by Al Ghurair and Zed, the UAE’s homegrown ride-hailing app, we are proud to play a central role in redefining the future of ride-hailing in the UAE.”
