Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, the Dubai Press Club (DPC) will host the fifth edition of Dubai PodFest on 30th September 2025. The event coincides with International Podcast Day, celebrating the influence and reach of podcasts worldwide.
The region’s premier event dedicated to podcasting, Dubai PodFest, will bring together leading Arab podcasters, media organisations, and major audio content platforms. Attendees will explore global trends, share success stories, and discuss strategies to boost the reach and competitiveness of Arabic audio content.
Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of DPC, said the event reflects Sheikh Ahmed’s vision to position Dubai as a hub for Arab media and a driver of creative content development. “This gathering strengthens Dubai’s role in shaping the digital media landscape and empowering Arab talent to produce impactful, globally competitive content,” she added.
Workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions will focus on empowering emerging creators, enhancing industry collaboration, and converting challenges in podcasting into opportunities for growth and innovation.
Maryam Al Mulla, Director of DPC, emphasised that the event’s success over the years showcases Dubai’s forward-looking vision in nurturing talent and creativity in the Arab world. Mahfoudha Abdullah, Manager of Dubai PodFest, noted that rapid technological advances have made podcasting more accessible, enabling creators with determination to gain global recognition.
