Dubai’s health insurance system saw notable growth in coverage and operational activity in 2025 compared to 2024, underscoring the system’s continued expansion and its strong ability to accommodate rising demand for healthcare services.
According to the latest figures released by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the number of beneficiaries covered by the system surpassed 4.9 million in 2025, up from around 4.6 million in 2024, reflecting an increase of approximately 6.5 percent.
Insurance claims also recorded significant growth, reaching about 49.6 million in 2025, compared to 43.69 million claims the previous year, an increase of roughly 13.5 percent. These figures demonstrate the growing utilisation of healthcare services within the system and confirm its capacity to keep pace with Dubai’s population growth and economic development.
The data further revealed that Dubai’s health insurance network comprises 3,936 healthcare providers, 140 insurance brokers, 43 insurance companies, and 16 insurance claims management entities.
Asma Al Sharif, Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Health Insurance Corporation at the DHA, said the operational performance recorded in 2025 reinforces confidence in the system’s infrastructure and its ability to respond proactively to increasing healthcare needs, supporting higher quality of life for the community.
