EHC Investment, a diversified Abu Dhabi-based investment platform and a subsidiary of International Holding Company (IHC), and Supermicro, Inc., a global leader in application-optimised total IT solutions, on Thursday declared a strategic relationship to collectively enhance the development and deployment of Sovereign AI Modular Data Centre (MDCs) in the UAE, based on the Data Centre Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) architecture of Supermicro.
This partnership demonstrates a joint effort to provide high-performance, energy-efficient, and sovereign AI-ready digital infrastructure faster.
Incorporating the established DCBBS framework of Supermicro and the robust regional footprint, infrastructure platforms, and implementation capabilities of EHC Investment, the venture seeks to bring scalable, high-density data centre infrastructure solutions in order to support AI, high-performance computing, and advanced cloud workloads with an order of magnitude shorter deployment timelines.
With the global appetite towards AI infrastructure approaching a breakneck pace, the availability of power-dense, high-performance computing capacity has become a critical constraint.
Modular Data Centres are rolled out using the proven and productised DCBBS strategy at Supermicro that offers a trustworthy and repetitive mechanism of quickening deployment without compromising performance, efficacy, and operational reliability.
The DCBBS architecture provided by Supermicro combines computer, networking, storage, power, cooling, rack-level integration, and deployment services into a single, end-to-end solution.
It allows the deployment of faster cycles, usually between six and nine months, than the traditional data centre construction, and also decreases the risk of implementation and provides predictable performance.
EHC Investment has brought a robust regional presence, infrastructure development, and long-term investment alignment in the UAE and the greater region.
This strategic relationship will enable the parties to work together on MDC reference architectures, deployment models, and coordinated delivery models to accelerate the deployment of sovereign AI infrastructure in priority sectors.
The partnership also complements the overall strategy of EHC Investment, creating and investing in the basic digital infrastructure platforms supporting the long-term economic development, technological leadership, and global competitiveness.
MDC solutions provide a repeatable, scalable, and capital-efficient model to support AI implementation in major sectors, such as energy, healthcare, financial services, and smart city ecosystems.
This announcement marks the start of a strategic working relationship between Supermicro and EHC Investment. As deployment initiatives advance, the two organisations will keep assessing project opportunities, operational frameworks, and possible avenues of extended collaboration, with the common goal of supporting scalable, secure, and performant AI infrastructure to facilitate the digital future of the UAE.
