Emirates is scaling up its flight operations to support this year’s Hajj pilgrimage, scheduling 33 special services to Jeddah and Medina. These flights will run until May 31 and resume between June 10 and 16, facilitating travel for thousands of pilgrims undertaking their spiritual journey to Mecca.
In addition, the airline is introducing 13 extra flights to and from regional destinations such as Amman, Dammam, Kuwait, and Bahrain to accommodate the expected surge in travel during the Eid Al Adha holiday. These flights aim to serve both leisure travellers and those reuniting with family for the festive period.
Over the next three weeks, Emirates is set to carry nearly 32,000 Hajj pilgrims from major cities across its global network, including the United States, Pakistan, Indonesia, South Africa, Thailand, and Côte d’Ivoire.
Eid Al Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is likely to be observed in the UAE on Sunday, June 16, subject to moon sighting. The holiday marks the culmination of the Hajj pilgrimage and is typically celebrated with prayers, family gatherings, and charitable acts. In the UAE, public and private sector employees are expected to receive a multi-day break around this date.
Emirates’ additional flight operations are part of its broader commitment to supporting religious and cultural travel while ensuring smooth and comfortable journeys for passengers across its global network.
