Emirates has announced the launch of a fourth daily flight between Dubai and London Gatwick, starting February 8, 2026, further strengthening the airline’s presence in the UK market. The new service, EK069/070, will be operated using the Airbus A350-900, marking the carrier’s continued fleet enhancement and expansion across high-demand global routes.
With this addition, Emirates will operate 12 daily flights to London across its three airport gateways, Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted, providing greater connectivity and flexibility for both business and leisure travellers.
“The new flight caters to growing demand and offers customers even more convenient options, particularly for same-day business or extended leisure itineraries,” Emirates said in a statement.
Strategic Evening Departure To Serve Both Markets
The new service, timed as the last departure of the day on the route in both directions, is tailored for travellers who want to maximise time in either city.
- EK069 departs Dubai at 17:05, arriving in Gatwick at 20:50
- EK070 departs Gatwick at 23:55, arriving in Dubai at 11:00
This schedule allows passengers arriving in Dubai to align with morning hotel check-ins and business engagements, while those departing Dubai can conclude daytime activities before catching the evening flight.
A350-900 Deployment Expands Emirates’ UK Modernisation
The A350-900 aircraft will be configured with:
- 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout
- 28 Premium Economy seats
- 238 Economy Class seats
Emirates’ new-generation A350s also include features such as wireless charging in Business Class, electric window blinds, and digital in-flight menus, further enhancing the premium travel experience.
With Gatwick becoming the second UK destination after Edinburgh to receive the new aircraft, the move reinforces Emirates’ commitment to the UK market. The airline will now operate 140 weekly flights to the UK across eight destinations, including Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Edinburgh.
Part Of A Global A350 Rollout
London joins a growing list of international cities served by Emirates’ latest-generation fleet. Other A350 destinations include Mumbai, Istanbul, Colombo, Amman, Lyon, and Bologna, as the airline gradually introduces its new aircraft to strategic global routes.
