Emirates Gas LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ENOC Group, has inked a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone Authority (UAQ FTZ), marking a significant milestone in its national expansion strategy. The agreement will see Emirates Gas deliver exclusive, end-to-end gas solutions to businesses within the UAQ Free Zone, bolstering the UAE’s energy infrastructure and industrial growth objectives.

Signed at ENOC Group headquarters, the MoU formalises collaboration between two key players in the UAE’s energy and industrial ecosystem. The agreement was witnessed by Sheikh Mansoor Bin Ibrahim Al Mu’alla, Executive Director of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation – Umm Al Quwain; Hussain Sultan Lootah, Acting Group CEO at ENOC; Nader Al Fardan, General Manager of Emirates Gas; and Johnson M. George, General Manager of UAQ FTZ.

Tailored Gas Solutions for Free Zone Tenants

Under the Emirates Gas UAQ Free Zone partnership, businesses operating in the free zone will receive customised solutions covering centralised gas systems, LPG tank installations, and product supply in both bulk and cylinder formats. The scope also includes technical consultancy and safety assessments, ensuring operational efficiency aligned with national safety standards.

According to Emirates Gas, each solution will be deployed following detailed technical and financial evaluations, making the service both commercially viable and scalable.

Strengthening the UAE’s Energy and Logistics Framework

Hussain Sultan Lootah, Acting CEO of ENOC Group, commented:
“This partnership reflects our vision to support economic growth in Umm Al Quwain and across the UAE through reliable and safe energy delivery. It is aligned with our national strategy to drive value through innovation and partnerships.”

Johnson M. George, General Manager of UAQ Free Trade Zone, added:
“Our goal has always been to empower our investors with world-class infrastructure and support. This collaboration with Emirates Gas ensures that our businesses will have access to reliable and safe gas solutions—a crucial component for industrial development.”

Future-Ready Energy Infrastructure

The Emirates Gas UAQ Free Zone partnership is positioned as a model for similar collaborations with other free zones and industrial clusters across the UAE. With the country pursuing its long-term energy and sustainability goals, Emirates Gas is leveraging innovation in product design—such as its LPG Composite Cylinders, which feature lightweight, translucent materials—to lead the transition.

These cylinders not only reduce operational risk but also provide end-users with better usage monitoring.

Supporting the UAE’s Economic Vision

The strategic partnership between Emirates Gas and UAQ FTZ is expected to enhance investor confidence and support the UAE’s broader objectives under the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030 and the UAE Net Zero by 2050 plan.

As both entities continue to collaborate to improve logistics, safety, and energy access, this partnership further reinforces the UAE’s position as a reliable and innovative industrial hub.
