Epson has announced its strategic partnership with Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, providing advanced laser projection technology for the live entertainment giant’s first-ever European residency production, ALIZÉ, set to debut in Berlin this November.
The collaboration marks a significant milestone for both brands, merging cutting-edge visual technology with world-class stagecraft to deliver a fully immersive theatrical experience at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz.
“By redefining the limits of stage technology and design, Cirque du Soleil has completely transformed resident shows globally,” said Matthew Nickel, Chief Creation and Production Officer at Cirque du Soleil. “As we establish our first residency in Europe, Epson’s vision is the best asset to have by our side at this strategically pivotal moment.”
Immersive Visual Storytelling with ALIZÉ
ALIZÉ will be Cirque du Soleil’s 54th original production, a surreal and visually rich spectacle that blends theatre, movement, and light to narrate a journey into the unseen. Epson’s 3LCD laser projectors will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of scenic design, fusing digital and physical elements to blur the line between illusion and reality.
“Creating a production that delivers visuals unlike anything we’ve done before required the right technology partner,” said Martin Dignard, Line Producer of ALIZÉ. “With Epson’s support, we can now transform our artistic ambition into reality.”
A Growing Global Partnership
The partnership began in 2024, when Epson became the Official Projector Partner for Cirque du Soleil. ALIZÉ is the first major showcase under this alliance, with more global productions already in development.
“We are incredibly proud to be part of this groundbreaking residency,” said Richard Miller, Vice President, Commercial Marketing and Service, Epson America, Inc. “ALIZÉ is just the beginning. Together, we are setting a new benchmark for storytelling through immersive technology.”
This partnership highlights how technology and artistry can come together to reshape audience experiences, not just in Berlin, but for global audiences in future productions.
