Etihad Airways Passenger Traffic 2025 surged to new highs, with the UAE’s national carrier transporting 10.2 million passengers in the first half of 2025, marking a 17 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The figures were released in the airline’s latest traffic update, covering operational performance through June.

In June 2025 alone, Etihad Airways carried 1.8 million passengers, representing a 16 percent year-over-year increase, and maintaining strong momentum in both demand and operational expansion. The passenger load factor — a key measure of airline efficiency — improved to 88 percent, up from 86 percent in June 2024, underlining continued capacity optimisation amid robust demand.

Fleet, Network Expansion Driving Growth

As of mid-2025, Etihad’s operating fleet has grown to 101 aircraft, supporting a broadening international route network. The airline’s focus on delivering reliable, efficient service has played a pivotal role in attracting more passengers and sustaining higher occupancy levels.

The Etihad Airways Passenger Traffic 2025 data also showed that the airline’s average load factor for H1 2025 stands at 87 percent, maintaining consistently high seat occupancy across its global network.

New Routes, Seasonal Resumptions Boosting Reach

Commenting on the milestone, Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said:

“We are pleased to see continued momentum in our growth, with passenger numbers in June increasing by 17 percent year-on-year in the first half of the year, maintaining our position as the fastest-growing airline in the Middle East.”

He added:

“Our year-to-date figures show that more than 10 million guests have flown with us in 2025, and our rolling 12-month total has almost reached 20 million as our customers continue to place their trust in our service.”

The Etihad Airways Passenger Traffic 2025 update highlighted the airline’s continued route expansion, with new services launched to Prague and Warsaw, and seasonal routes resumed to popular summer destinations including Nice, Malaga, Mykonos, Santorini, and Antalya.

With sustained high load factors, network optimisation, and customer demand, Etihad Airways is on track to close 2025 with one of its strongest performance years yet. The airline’s focus on service reliability, fleet growth, and market-responsive routes continues to support its vision of becoming a prominent global aviation leader.
