Etihad Airways has announced it will launch flights to Luxembourg, marking a historic milestone as the first Middle Eastern airline to serve the country.
When services begin on 29 October 2026, Etihad will also become the only airline operating nonstop flights between Luxembourg and Abu Dhabi, establishing a new direct air link between two key European and Middle Eastern hubs.
The new route responds to growing demand from travellers in Luxembourg, the wider Benelux region, as well as France and Germany, for direct access to Abu Dhabi.
Flights will operate to Luxembourg Airport (LUX), offering passengers direct access to Abu Dhabi, the UAE’s capital, known for its rich Arabian culture, world-class hospitality and year-round sunshine.
The service will run three times a week using Etihad’s advanced A321LR aircraft, providing travellers with a premium direct travel option between Luxembourg and the UAE.
The route is expected to improve connectivity for both business and leisure travellers while strengthening economic and cultural ties between the EU and the UAE. With Luxembourg also acting as a gateway to neighbouring France, Germany and Belgium, the service further enhances Etihad’s footprint across Europe.
