The strategy focuses on strengthening regulatory oversight, advancing research and capacity building, ensuring the safe and secure execution of all regulated activities, and deepening both national and international cooperation. It also places emphasis on developing human talent, boosting organisational efficiency, and integrating innovation and artificial intelligence to reinforce FANR’s standing as a leading nuclear regulator.
The Board additionally reviewed an update on FANR’s cooperation plans for 2025, encompassing nuclear safety, security, radiation protection, and research and development initiatives. Collaboration remains a fundamental pillar of the UAE’s Nuclear Programme, and FANR aims to broaden its partnerships to address a wide range of regulatory areas.
