H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, received Ding Zecheng, Chairman of China’s Yasha Group, along with his delegation at Al Rumaila Palace.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China, particularly in sustainability, smart city development, and related sectors, in line with the shared interests of both nations.
H.H. Sheikh Hamad was updated on the group’s initiatives to enhance building efficiency, promote smart city projects, and advance sustainable practices. He was also briefed on Yasha Group’s youth innovation programmes and its capabilities in green construction and digital technologies.
Ding Zecheng expressed his gratitude to the Fujairah Ruler, praising the emirate’s favourable investment environment, which supports sustainable economic collaboration.
He also reaffirmed his interest in working with Fujairah to improve building efficiency and cultural projects, integrating local identity with modern architectural approaches that strengthen cultural heritage, and emphasised the role of architecture as a bridge between civilisations.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Emiri Court, and Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, Director-General of Fujairah Municipality.
