Fujairah is steadily reinforcing its place on the UAE’s winter tourism map, supported by its diverse natural scenery of mountains and valleys, along with a broad range of facilities, services and experiences that appeal to families, adventure lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
During the winter months, the emirate emerges as an ideal destination for both short getaways and extended stays, thanks to its pleasant climate and varied tourism offerings. Visitors can enjoy beaches and coastal resorts, mountain hiking trails, Wadi Wurayah, camping sites, and notable cultural attractions such as Fujairah Fort, Al Badiyah Mosque and the Heritage Village. Traditional markets and community events further showcase the emirate’s local character and heritage.
Saeed Abdullah Al Samahi, Director of Fujairah Tourism & Antiquities Department, said the winter season plays a central role in Fujairah’s tourism strategy, noting that the emirate’s rare combination of sea, mountains and pristine natural surroundings provides a balanced experience that blends leisure, adventure and culture.
He added that continuous efforts are being made to expand programmes, organise events and strengthen partnerships with the private sector to attract more visitors, improve service standards and promote sustainability.
He also stressed the department’s commitment to advancing environmental and heritage tourism, empowering young people and entrepreneurs in hospitality and tourism-related fields, and diversifying visitor experiences, all of which reinforce Fujairah’s position as a leading winter destination throughout the season.
