H.H. Hazza bin Zayed Evaluates Key Development Plans at Al Ain City Municipality

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, visited the headquarters of Al Ain City Municipality, where he was briefed on major development projects underway across several key sectors in the region.

During the visit, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed received a detailed presentation on updates for multiple development initiatives, including the Al Rawdha Square project, which aims to enhance infrastructure and improve public facilities, and the Oasis Projects, which reflect the region’s historic agricultural heritage, preserve its unique environment, and bolster its status as a prominent tourism and cultural destination.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza also reviewed plans to develop older neighbourhoods, focusing on preserving Al Ain Region’s heritage while upgrading quality of life through integrated modern services that address community needs.

The visit included an overview of the Al Ain DNA project, an innovative initiative designed to highlight the region’s identity by blending historical and modern elements, reinforcing Al Ain’s position as a cultural and tourism hub.

In addition, Sheikh Hazza received a comprehensive briefing on proposed projects for 2026 in Al Ain Region, aligned with the vision of President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and aimed at driving sustainable development and enhancing quality of life for all residents.

During the briefing, Sheikh Hazza emphasized the importance of progressing with development projects in Al Ain Region according to established plans and timelines, ensuring alignment with the leadership’s vision and contributing to the region’s overall growth and residents’ wellbeing.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed stressed that ongoing projects form a key pillar in strengthening Al Ain Region’s appeal as a leading development destination by balancing heritage preservation with modern infrastructure upgrades and essential services to meet community aspirations and support sustainable growth.

The visit also included a tour of the municipality’s exhibition, highlighting decades of service to the community and showcasing significant achievements and initiatives that have enhanced the efficiency and quality of municipal services.

His Highness reviewed the partial redevelopment of the municipality’s main building and met with employees, commending their dedication to public service and encouraging continued innovation in serving Al Ain Region and its residents.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza was accompanied by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Rashed Musabbeh Al Manei, Director-General of Al Ain City Municipality; Engineer Maysarah Mahmoud Eid, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre; and several senior officials from Al Ain Municipality.
