The crime thriller “Hunter” is back with its second season, and this time, actor Suniel Shetty’s ACP Vikram is drawn deeper into a web of danger, mystery, and vengeance. The makers have unveiled a teaser for “Hunter Season 2,” offering a glimpse into a fast-paced chase that spans Mumbai and Thailand, with explosive action and emotional undercurrents.
The new season marks the return of Vikram, who is no longer just a cop haunted by the past — he’s now a father on a mission, facing an adversary unlike any before. The narrative promises a blend of calculated mind games, raw emotion, and escalating tension.
Adding to the intrigue is Jackie Shroff, who joins the cast as a mysterious antagonist known as Salesman. His character is set to play psychological warfare with Shetty’s Vikram, flipping the dynamics of loyalty and justice.
“Season 1 was special because it introduced Vikram’s world. But in Season 2, his past catches up to him in ways he never expected,” said Suniel Shetty. “This chapter pushed me emotionally and physically. There’s nothing left to lose for Vikram now.”
Shroff echoed the intensity of the upcoming series:
“Salesman is a character who doesn’t wear his emotions on his sleeve. He’s smooth, layered, and always one step ahead. And going head-to-head with Anna [Suniel Shetty] was a thrilling ride.”
Joining the ensemble are Anusha Dandekar and Barkha Bisht, who take on pivotal roles in this new chapter of the gritty cop universe.
Directed by Prince Dhiman and Alok Batra, the series is backed by Yoodlee Films, the content studio of Saregama India Limited.
Season 2 builds on the gritty realism and action-packed sequences that made the first installment a hit, while diving deeper into the emotional stakes for its lead character. With tense confrontations, international backdrops, and a psychological tug-of-war, the show is set to raise the bar for Indian web thrillers.
“Hunter Season 2” will premiere later this year on an OTT platform yet to be officially announced.
