Dubai Police, under the leadership of Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, hosted the prestigious World Police Summit Awards 2025 at a gala dinner attended by senior law enforcement officials from over 138 countries. Held on May 16, the ceremony recognized outstanding contributions to global and local security across 12 categories.

- Excellence in Police Customer Service: Italy’s Postal Police Cybersecurity Unit for the “Hacker Tracking” Project
- Excellence in Forensics and Criminology: European Forensics Institute, Malta
- Excellence in Road Safety: Global Road Safety Partnership, Switzerland, for its Police Executive Leadership Programme
- Best Use of AI in Policing: Secretariat of Public Safety, Chihuahua State, Mexico, for the Sentinela Security Platform
- Best Police App: Ethiopian Federal Police, for its “Citizen Engagement” App
- Most Inspirational Female Officer: Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Mariam Darwish Al Hashmi, Fujairah Police, UAE
- Best Community Contribution in Policing: Clara Magalhães Martins (Ukraine–Brazil), for the “Robin Hood” Project
- Excellence in Policing for People of Determination: Adele Gesu, Deputy Director of Road Police Operations, Italy
The summit also honored Abdulrahman Al Marzouqi, winner of the International AI Challenge, and several Dubai Police departments for their exceptional contributions. The General Department of Transport and Rescue received the ‘Best Development Project Award,’ while the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments was awarded ‘Best Team.’ Additionally, the Joint Financial Operations Room project from the General Department of Criminal Investigation was recognized with the award for ‘Best Joint Initiative.’
A Platform for Global Collaboration
The World Police Summit 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 13–15, served as a vital forum for law enforcement agencies worldwide to share best practices, discuss emerging challenges, and foster international cooperation. The event featured over 220 distinguished speakers and covered 11 pivotal themes, including AI in policing, cybersecurity, organized crime, traffic safety, borderless policing, and anti-money laundering.
