India’s women’s cricket team has kept its World Cup dream alive — and how! It was a batting masterclass from India, led by Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal, who both rose to the occasion with sensational centuries. Mandhana smashed a commanding 109, while Rawal’s blistering 122 set the tone for India’s massive total of 340/3 in 49 overs.
Jemimah Rodrigues provided the perfect finishing touch, remaining unbeaten on a stylish 76 to push India’s momentum into the break.
New Zealand, however, struggled to keep pace in the chase. Brooke Halliday fought hard with a well-made 81, but the regular loss of wickets and rising scoreboard pressure led to their elimination from the tournament.
