India U19 produced a dominant performance against UAE U19 at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai, winning by an emphatic 234 runs in their opening match of the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025. The Indian side showcased both firepower and tactical brilliance, leaving their opponents struggling throughout the game.
The standout performer of the day was Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who played a sensational innings of 171 runs off just 95 balls, guiding India to a mammoth total of 433 runs.
His aggressive strokeplay and impeccable timing kept the UAE bowlers on the back foot and set the stage for India’s commanding victory. Captain Ayush Mhatre also contributed with measured leadership, rotating his bowlers smartly and ensuring sustained pressure on the UAE batsmen.

In their chase, UAE U19 struggled to cope with India’s immense total. Uddish Suri fought hard for the visitors, scoring an unbeaten 78 off 106 balls, while Prithvi Madhu contributed a gritty 50 off 87 balls. However, despite their efforts, the UAE innings could not withstand the relentless Indian attack.
Deepesh Devendran emerged as India’s top wicket-taker, claiming two crucial scalps, while Kishan Kumar Singh, Henil Patel, Khilan Patel, and Vihaan Malhotra chipped in with a wicket each. The Indian bowling unit maintained tight lines and lengths, with smart captaincy ensuring that UAE’s lower-order resistance did not extend the game.
The match highlighted India’s all-round strength. Their batters, led by Suryavanshi’s explosive knock, were able to capitalize on the slightly slower pitch conditions, building a colossal score that put immense pressure on the opposition.
UAE’s middle-order fight, particularly the partnership between Madhu and Suri, was impressive, but it ultimately fell short as India’s bowlers regained control. The balance between seamers and spinners, along with strategic bowling changes by Mhatre, played a key role in dismantling the UAE lineup.
With this commanding victory, India U19 set the tone for their Asia Cup campaign and will now face a tough challenge against Pakistan U19 in their next group stage match, followed by a clash with Malaysia U19 to conclude the round-robin stage. Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s record-breaking innings and Ayush Mhatre’s captaincy will surely boost the team’s confidence as they aim to maintain their dominance throughout the tournament.
