Indian Entertainment Projects Canceled, Halted Amid Indo-Pak Tensions

In the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam and India’s Operation Sindoor, the Indian entertainment industry has seen a wave of postponements and cancellations, reflecting national solidarity and heightened security concerns. Here are some of the projects that are either delayed, halted, or revised in the Entertainment industry.

Major Event Cancellations

Several public events and concerts across India and abroad have been called off.

Kamal Haasan postponed the audio launch of his film Thug Life, originally slated for May 16.

Arijit Singh delayed his Abu Dhabi performance in the UAE and earlier canceled his Chennai show.

Usha Uthup’s Mumbai concert, scheduled for Saturday, has also been halted.

Bollywood Celebs Postpone Events

Salman Khan’s UK tour has been postponed following the attack.

The unveiling of the DDLJ statue featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the UK has also been delayed.

Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma postponed his Indore concert, initially set for Friday.

Asim Riaz, of Bigg Boss fame, delayed the release of his new song to Wednesday.

Films and More

Maddock Films announced that Bhool Chuk Maaf, starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, will skip theatrical release and go directly to OTT next week.

TVF has pushed back the release of Very Parivarik Season 2.

The release of Abir Gulaal, featuring Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor, has been on halt; promotional materials have been removed from online platforms.
