Indian airline IndiGo is expanding its services in the UAE, offering more travel options for Indian expatriates. The airline has announced new direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Bhubaneswar in Odisha, set to begin next month.

Starting June 12th, flights between Bhubaneswar and Abu Dhabi will operate three times a week, while the Visakhapatnam-Abu Dhabi route will run four times a week from June 13th.

This expansion follows IndiGo’s recent announcement of daily direct flights to Fujairah from Mumbai and Kannur, which began today, May 15th. Fujairah becomes IndiGo’s fifth destination in the UAE and its 41st international location, highlighting its increasing presence in the Middle East.

To further enhance convenience for passengers, IndiGo will also provide dedicated bus services to and from Dubai and Sharjah for those flying to Fujairah. This complements their existing services to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah, offering travelers greater accessibility across the UAE.

These developments are part of IndiGo’s broader strategy to connect the Indian market with international destinations. The airline recently announced new routes to Manchester and Amsterdam Schiphol, scheduled to start in July 2025, utilizing Norse Atlantic Airways’ aircraft initially before transitioning to their Airbus A350-900 fleet for these longer-haul journeys.
