Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans are set to take on Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Eliminator on Friday, with a spot in Qualifier 2 on the line.
The high-stakes clash will take place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
The winner of this Eliminator will move on to face Punjab Kings in Qualifier 2. Punjab were handed a heavy eight-wicket defeat by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Qualifier 1 on Thursday.
The victor of the second qualifier will then take on RCB in the IPL 2025 final on Tuesday, July 3.
Gujarat Titans secured third place in the league standings with nine wins from 14 matches. Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions, clinched the fourth playoff spot with 16 points from eight wins in the league stage.
Friday’s encounter promises a thrilling contest, with Gujarat aiming for a third consecutive final appearance since their debut in 2022.
